Chrome steel band saws are made from cold-rolled Uddeholm strip steel and are suitable for cutting soft to normal types of wood, such as construction timber and beams. For this reason, they are often used in carpentry and furniture factories. Chrome steel band saws are not suitable for cutting hardwoods. Chrome steel has a hardness of 50 HRC. Chrome steel band saws are excellent for re-sharpening.
