Band saws for metalworking

At Custom Band Saws, we offer 3 types of Bi-metal band saws for metalworking. Bi-metal band saws are ideal for sawing or cutting various types of steel, such as stainless steel and non-ferrous materials. Our Band saws are also suitable for machining solid parts such as pipes and profiles.

Features of a BI metal band saw:

• Suitable for metal, stainless steel and non-ferrous materials;
• Suitable for solid workpieces;
• With a BI metal saw, basically anything can be cut up to a hardness of +/- 60 HrC.

Bi-metal M42

The Bi-metal M42 band saw is well suited for metal and non-ferrous metal. The band saw is composed of 2 types of metal: a high-speed steel strip and an alloy spring steel. In addition, the M42 contains an 8% cobalt tip and has wear-resistant teeth. This makes the saw very low-maintenance and heat-resistant. 

Bi-metal M42 Battery Saw

The Bi-metal M24 battery saw is specific for the battery saws of these brands:

• Bosch; 
• DeWalt; 
• Hikoki;
• Makita;
• Milwaukee;
• Panasonic. 

The battery saw is great for cutting (ferrous) metals and non-ferrous metals. The battery saw features low-maintenance and wear-resistant teeth with an 8% M42 cobalt tip. In addition, the Bi-metal M42 batterys saw is highly heat-resistant and has a hardness of 67HrC.

At Custom Band Saws, we make band saws to order. For example, both Bi-metal M42 (battery) saws are available in widths from 6 to 34 mm.

Bi-metal M51

The Bi-metal M51 is the most low-maintenance band saw with wear-resistant teeth. The band saw features an M51 cobalt tip that is even harder than its predecessor. The Bi-metal M51 is also highly heat-resistant. It is a good alternative for alloy steels up to 1,500 N/mm2, stainless steels and superalloys such as Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy and Titanium.

Bi-metal M51 band saws are available in any length between 2,000 mm and 12,000 mm. We also make the band saws to size in widths: 27 mm to 34 mm.
